For most of the colleges in Karnataka B.Ed admissions are given by the respective colleges, upon their own eligibility criteria. From 2012 Karnataka Govt. is trying to give admissions through CET entrance exam.

Eligibility: A citizen of India who passed B.A / B.Sc. degree examination of Bangalore University or any University in India or abroad recognised as equivalent through 10+2+3 pattern of education obtaining 50% of marks in aggregate of all the subjects he/she has studied for 3 years is eligible for admission to B.Ed Course provided Candidates must be graduates with B.A. or B.Sc. and shall have studied any one of the languages and two of the three electives specified below. Candidate should have studied two of the three electives for all the three years at degree or graduation level. Candidates must have passed in University Exams for all the three years and at the time of admission shall compulsorily produce three years degree marks cards issued by the University
Languages: English, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit
Electives: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Economics, English, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit.

Eligibility Exception:
All applicants shall have a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate of all the three years of Degree including electives and languages, excluding internal assessment marks, class examination marks and grace marks. But SC, ST, C-1 and physically handicapped candidates shall have a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate of all the three years of Degree including electives and languages, excluding internal assessment marks, class examination and grace marks.

iii) B.A / B.Sc all the degree marks cards
iv) Provisional / Convocation certificate
v) Migration certificate

Allotment of Seats: Colleges shall admit all the candidates allotted by the government of Karnataka through common entrance test( C E T ) or any appropriate agency recognized by the government of Karnataka
Duration of B.Ed Course: The duration of study for B.Ed. semester course shall extend over a period of one academic year of TWO semesters. The duration of first semester shall be of 16 weeks and second semester shall be of 18 weeks (204 working days).
